Thank you for your email. Due to the fact that I was appointed by\nthe court to be the Discovery Referee in your case, all\ncorrespondence had to be sent to the attorneys. It was their\nresponsibility to send you any outstanding statements (“bill”), even\nif they were no longer the attorney on the case.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Knowing now that Mr. Prantil did not send you the bill, which was\nhis responsibility even if he was no longer on the case, I will have my\nstaff waive the late charges and interest. I am fine with that. You can call my\nstaff (Pita) to pay by credit card if that is easiest for you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I am not in the office every day since I am only doing work\nnow as a consultant. In answer to your question, only the Court on its own\nor by written stipulation of the parties can appoint a Special Master. If there\nare accounting issues, this is a good route to take since the cost is less than\neach party having to individually hire a forensic accountant. You would either\nneed to have an agreement from the other side, or ask the Court, to appoint a\nSpecial Master. Reach out to the other side first and see whether or not they\nwould agree to such an appointment. If so, have them provide you three (3)\nnames. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
